Amount of raffle tickets sold?
« on: July 12, 2020, 10:09:43 AM »
I’ve looked online many times and for the life of me can’t see how many raffle tickets have been sold for each category this year. Anyone have a link?

All of those numbers are low and some will double between now and the deadline. I usually buy, but havent yet and dont know if I will because I have horrible luck with drawing anything in WA. The last minute donations that are made by us foolish guys that think we have a chance really screw the odds up for the guys that buy early and often! :chuckle:

Yep 1 or 100 your “odds” probably really are no different. Unless you’re the guy that dumped $50,000 into the eastern Washington elk raffle then you might have a little better odds than the rest of us. I don’t mind gambling but that’s exactly what this is and I would never put that kind of money into something it wasn’t guaranteed. That’s a awesome trip to Alaska killing pretty much anything I want and then some

The number sold is near the top of each raffle hunt title. It kind of blends in, I didn't see it at first either, thought it would be a table format..

This seems too obvious, so I must be missing something. But I would assume that the bulk of the Eastside elk ticket buyers would hunt the Southest part of the state if drawn. So if you were a guy ready to throw big money at that single tag, why not throw it at the Southeast multiple species and have a WAY better chance, plus get multiple tags??

There are a quite a few big bulls in central WA too, so I wouldn't be so sure the winner is heading to the SE corner.  :twocents:  I would assume that someone flooded the Eastside bull category based on the current numbers and knows where there is a big bull they are targeting.  Hopefully someone that only bought a few raffle tickets is lucky enough to win the raffle. I always root for the little guy that doesn't have that much disposal income to essentially buy the raffle.

Eastern elk only went up 400 over the weekend.  Not bad really.  The big jump was early last week, 8,000 tickets in a day.  :yike:

All categories are close to last years sales and many are above last years sales already.  I am sure we are going to see new all time records in most categories this year.
