Just read in the local paper that the removal of 840 Steller's and California Sea Lions has been approved for the Columbia from Bonneville to McNary over the next 5 years.   Article did not say who would do this or how.

Good news, hopefully that opens a door for removal within Puget Sound as well.  Those things are part of the too many things crushing salmon.

They need to do similar to the goat removal this fall in the Olympics!

Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhhh.
Time for cormorant removal. We need management on those too. Help fry survival rate. The pacific flyway is the only flyway that doesn't have management of comorants. 50,000 a year across the country but none over here. Not hunting but conflict removal.

This is mostly for below Bonneville, A few times Sea lions have snuck above multiple dams, this gives them authority to correct that.

I hope those sturgeon were within the size requirements or those sea lions could loose their fishing privledges.
