Pressure washer - electric vs gas

Need a new pressure washer. Was looking at electric and had someone mention they don’t have as much power. Would be nice not to deal with the gas/ oil etc. any pros and cons? Usage would be Regular around the house stuff a couple time a year. Driveway. Cleaning gutters etc

No question gas.  Electric just doesnt have the same power/pressure that I have ever seen.

Had an electric one till went bad while using it to clean the siding from over winter mold And it shorted out electrifying the aluminum ladder.  SHOCKING😳  Then switched to gas, never looked back!

Nephew washed our house with his electric pressure washer from Costco. It worked really well! Wife painted the house, and the little electric had every thing clean for her.

Gas for the added power and utility.  Remember to run a can of antifreeze/lube through the pump if you over winter in freezing conditions to protect and lube the pump and valves.

I have both.  Electric is easy and fast for cars but won't touch the junk on pavement, decks, etc.

used to be pressure washers using the Blue Cat pumps were the (ahem) cat's meow...

Not sure if that's still the gold standard, but Northern Tool sells units with Blue Cat pumps.

I would go with the gas, for sure.  My sons and I have invested in two, a 3400 PSI and a 4000 PSI.  We use them on driveways, patios, and decks.  My advice would be to go with at least a 3400 PSI.  The smaller ones just take forever to get the job done.  And then invest in a surface cleaner.  A number of companies make them.  Using one on driveways and patios will cut your time by at least 50%, probably more.

I have both
The electric was close to the best elec out there, it works for what i wanted it for like light duty stuff but does not have the same pressure as my gas one.
The gas one with a surface cleaner as said is great, cuts down washing time, finished results are better (no stripping) and cuts down on blowing crap all over everything.
