« on: August 21, 2020, 07:37:42 AM »
Really late start to yesterday's evening hunt (wasn't actually planning to go hunt at all) rolled up to gate just after 7pm and shot bear by 7:22.  35yds shot and a short recovery.

What not 10 miles in and down a 300 yrd blackberry filled canyon with a 90% grade slacker  :chuckle:
Good job D, lots of bear meat in your house this year
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Beautiful bear, DR. Nice to have a short haul, as well.

It almost did, but unfortunately got lodged on a down tree between cliffs.  Probably would have been a bad situation if it made it off the other cliff but almost to the truck.
