I was up on lions rock day after the dnr closure and it was already a zoo.  I’m sure I was there early before others moved in from closed areas I can’t imagine what it’s like now.

DNR is supposed to re-evaluate the conditions today and decide if the closure ends or stays.

Any one have any idea when they might post something? And Where?

Conditions have not improved much, except that the fire fighters have made progress in getting containment on several fires, and the smoke seems to be slowly clearing out. So I'm not expecting that they will lift the recreation ban.

Has anyone seen any updates on target shooting on DNR land?

I’m not sure if it’s all DNR but an area close to me that is on DNR put in a damn hipster bicycle trail that’s attracting all the dang Subaru drivers. And since then they have had no target shooting signs up in definitely. So again I don’t know if that’s just to protect the heavily concentrated granola crunchers on that piece of DNR or if they have gone to no target shooting on all dnr. And before anybody gets on me for ragging on the bicyclists I did give them a chance. Until I was confronted by two of them who told me I had no business sneaking around dressed in camouflage with a sniper rifle when there was no hunting season open. For some stupid reason I tried to take the time to let them know that it was bear season but since they were more knowledgeable than me they knew that you had to wear orange if something was open to be hunting. Ended up exchanging some not so friendly Words with them and will probably not be going back to that area which used to be awesome hunting but now is overrun with cyclists trying to get out of Seattle. But at least I got a good city folk vocab reminder, anything with a scope and a bipod is a sniper rifle and anything with a large clip is a machine gun. They must be voting for Biden since he’s going to ban the AR 14s I guess
