It gets a lot tougher once all the deer and elk hunters hit the woods. It seems like in my area in August they’re out half the day but come October November they go almost nocturnal. Down in the creek bottoms in those deep draws there’s still lots of green grass to be had and if they arent getting enough of that and fawns they start getting back into the logs like they do in the spring. The last bear I saw a couple weeks ago was eating a deer, unfortunately the one I had shot with my bow and didn’t find the night I shot it due to a thunderstorm and torrential downpour of rain washing the blood trail away
