Just south of 26 is Crab Creek. Always some quail and tons of mixed cover

Revere has a ton of public ground nearby and it has quail and roosters...plus it is pretty along Rock Creek...not too far North from Pullman.

Our Brit is 11 now and with 3 little kids, he is last in line for attention, so I get it. Good luck to you and your pup :)
Thanks 10key! I’ll check it out on the map.

Thank you to all of you that helped me out with places and tips on places...this old boy will be losing his mind when he gets a nose full of bird..

It’s funny, I’ve been getting an earful (from my GF) about how I need to make sure he doesn’t push himself into injury or wearing himself down...years ago when I first put a gps on him he was doing 20 to my 5-6 miles every Saturday. Next day was usually a half day and he’d do the same with half the mileage.

I looked at her with rolling eyes and just said “Yes dear”.

I told her he and I are the same.. we go out hard all weekend, recover a day or so and hopefully get the chance to repeat the next weekend.

My wife says the same thing. Theres no stopping or slowing them down when they're out there. I had to carry my lab up and down the stairs for two days after our last trip, not because I pushed her, but that's just their m.o. They love it as much or more than we do.

Want to circle back and thank all of you that offered up ideas and places to hunt. Due to a last minute change, we ended up having to go through Walla Walla so our time to hunt  Saturday was limited. We did find a place with about an hour of hunting light left that produced 4 roosters and a hen. Any of you that pm’d me I’ll be glad to drop an OnX pin to the site for you. Due to water challenges (yeah, I went up to my waist and nearly over my head!) it would best be hunted with a strategy to deal with the water.

My old dog was like his usual self...totally focused on hunting.. obviously he doesn’t have the same stamina, but the drive is just as strong.

Sunday we drove through dense fog for several hours. Passed on a couple of recommended spots due to limited sight.

Ended up at a spot my son and I have hunted...close to this one...if you expand the photo the bird can be seen better...and yes, he was retrieved.
