Personally wouldn’t be my choice with elk on the menu but I’m sure it will drop elk fine with quality bullets & quality shot placement. I kicked around the idea of building on my Tikka 7 rem mag & doing a 7wsm,7saum or 7 Sherman max but ultimately put it in a new stock to be left as is for now & bought a donor tikka from a fellow member here & went 300 wsm to take care of anything I might hunt.

It’s a great loaner rifle, shoots great with this rookie shooting.

My HCA Tikka. Started as a T3X Lite 7Rem mag. It's now a 7SAUM. It's since had the bolt fluted and will get some cerakote.

Mountain Tactical Trigger spring/20moa base
180's at 2894fps ave. I had very little time for load workup before my moose hunt but it shows very good promise.
