The Ford dealer here had a badlands edition at the sportsman’s show last week. Man, was it nice. $60,000

One of the dealers here https://www.metrofordofokc.com/ford-bronco-.html?pt=2
has a few Wildtrak Editions that start at $69.3K

And an Outer banks Advanced Edition for $64K

The price will likely get bumped on the wildtrak. Ford just told all their wildtrak orders that they can’t produce them and they’ll have to cancel or order something else.

Local dealer has a new Bronco Raptor they just got in so I had the opportunity to look it all over.  It definitely has a cool looking stance to it and sitting next to a regular Bronco the Bronco Raptor is obvious but no friggen way was it 40 grand over MSRP cool.  I only stopped to look at it so the crazy 40K over MSRP asking price didn't matter to me and I understand these things are very limited production but 40 over MSRP seems more than a little crazy to me.

I want to know where these people work that have zero problem overpaying by 40k for an item that depreciates the moment you sign the papers! :yike:
If anyone knows of a job opening please let me know!

That’s the thing. These don’t depreciate the moment you sign.
I talked to the consignment manager at a certain local high end used car dealer a couple weeks ago. He took a Raptor R that was 4 days old on consignment that week. Msrp $112k. They listed it for $179k and sold it for $169k a couple days later. They made their consignment commission and the guy who bought it and flipped it made a big chunk of coin in the matter of a week or so.

They don't work and these don't depreciate like a standard SUV.

They work. I talk to them almost every day. They have ultra high paying jobs in tech and real estate. That’s what I’ve decided.
I have 5 Earthroamers that come in here. They’re $500k-$750k. The owners all work.

Just looked at one, $169,999 seems to be the going price for Raptor R's right now.  I don't think they will always go for that much over MSRP but current supply and demand, it's definitely a sellers market for these specialty vehicles like the Bronco Raptor and Raptor R.  It's crazy how specialty trucks or 4X4 rigs can get so much, more, over MSRP then cars like the GT500 which are only 10-15K over MSRP.  There's something I didn't think I'd ever say, only 10-15K over MSRP.  :o

So how are these dealers getting these to sell when I thought they were all preorders by people and "sold out"?  Maybe I'm a skeptic but it seems like there is a lot of shady dealer tricks going on so they can control the market and jack the bejeezus out of the price and it's not just one or two but just about all the dealers that have these are doing it.

Lots of rumors going around. The guy who ordered the gray one I posted a pic of legit cancelled his order.
By the Ford dealer agreement, we’re not supposed to sell a Bronco to a customer who doesn’t have a reservation number. So we can throw it at anyone with a reservation number.
Rumors I’ve heard that I can’t confirm or deny is that dealers are creating fake orders and cancelling them as they show up, then putting big 2nd stickers on them and selling them on the lot. I heard of 1 dealer local ish to us getting dinged by Ford for doing that.
There are also crap tons of them on the used market. Mostly people buying and flipping them to make a quick $10-20k.

My youngest daughter has had her Bronco about a year, they have a driveway that requires an all wheel drive in the winter, the reason she ordered one, she loves it.

The three months I spent selling cars at a dodge dealer were the most eye opening of my life. There are SO many dirty tricks the salesman/manager or finance officer pull. Had to quit one day suddenly when I realized I had just swindled an old man out of maybe ten grand without even thinking about it and was being celebrated. Didn't want to keep going down that path.

Hard to imagine there is a shortage with all of the rigs I see driving around.  Maybe they stick out or maybe they all ended up in my town, but it's remarkable how many I see every day.

There are tons of the base models driving around here. But until Jackalope pointed out, very few of the Special Editions at all.
And the difference in price can be $10k to $30k depending on the Edition

If you can find one.

Every time I see one of these Super Expensive rigs on the road, the brand doesn't matter. I get a great laugh and it makes me happy to see people so clueless...PT Barnum was right. All that money for basic transportation and the pumping up of Ego. WOW.  :chuckle:
