Aliner Campers?
« on: January 02, 2021, 01:12:21 PM »
Anybody have one of the hard sided popup Aliner campers?

Looking at options to make it easier for me to do quick one-parent trips with kids. We do a lot of car camping, but I like the idea of avoiding the packing/setup process when I’m on my own with them. We’ve got limited storage space and dedicated tow rig is not in the cards, so I’ve been looking at popups, teardrops, etc.

Aliners look like a good balance of ease of towing and quick set up. And standing head room is not mandatory but a big plus for me and my creaky back.

However, I’ve never actually seen an Aliner in real life. Seem like a cool design, but I don’t know about build quality? I know canvas popups have big mold problems when they’re not totally dried out, and the Aliner looks better on that front as long as there are not durability/water intrusion issues.

I’ve looked at similar campers before, when I had a small pickup. They’re nice for what they are and pretty comfortable. If the weather gets nasty the hard sides are really nice.
