New target stand
« on: January 13, 2021, 11:06:33 AM »
Finally decided to change up my target stands. From the 2 x 4 shape. To the conduit with AR500 hangers.  I’ll still use the 2 x 4 stands just for the 22s maybe 9mm but that’s about as far as it would go.
Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

Built one almost exactly like that and it works amazing.  Unlike wood....it will last forever.

Good to hear. Looking for more stability and a better swing.

Mine's ready to be replaced..... legs shot too many times in varying winds at 1000 yards.  :tung:

I've built a few that are very similar.   I've gone to using used conveyor belt to hang the target though.  It's amazing how easy it is to hit that chain, and then you get to take a hike to scab it back together, and you get back to your shooting position...settle in, catch your breath, and bam!  Got it again!  Kinda takes the fun out of it.  On the positive side, you get to see how you can shoot when you've just hiked a quarter mile each way...twice.
Work to live, don't live to work.

You can educate away ignorance, sober up drunkenness, but you can't fix stupid.
