Has any members had good or bad results with this ammo un a sbe2 with Carlson long range cremator choke tube ? Thanks

I shot a few boxes.  Seemed to cripple everything. Birds were over decoys and I was shooting an sbe iii and Carlson long range choke.

I bought a case of it and it works if the birds are decoy range birds.   I shot some at longer ranges and it throws a wider pattern than round pellet ammo.  I shot mine thru a mid-range Carlsons choke in 12 gauge.   It's definitely not what I'd want for longer range geese.

I had terrible patterns with it in my SBEII.  Especially further down range.  I quit using it.

Never had a pattern issue with them out to 40 yards. Black cloud on the other hand was junk nothing but problems. Looks like you two are using SBE shotguns, maybe it's the guns I run Beretta/Biakal's.

Any steel shot duck load will kill ducks within 40 yards. There’s no reason to buy more expensive shells for that. Just find a load that patterns well.

also kinda conflicts with each other with a long range choke and a kind of spreader load.  Hex shot patterns expand faster than round shot patterns.

i have found that Benelli sbe's shoot "off" from your bead / barrel line of sight. Check on paper.. i really noticed this with Turkey tube on them.. once you understand the offset of aim, it may help your down range accuracy separate from pattern issues.

I bought a case of it on sale two years ago and have shot it out of everything from a benelli nova to my a5 wicked wing with both factory and aftermarket chokes... not a fan I would tend to agree with what everyone else is saying that it wounds a lot more birds than it kills.
