Midway has small rifle primers

Screw midway. I got some of the small rifle. This morning they had large rifle. I called them to see if we can package the large rifle in with my small rifle so I’m not paying 2 hazmat and 2 shipping charges. Their response “oh sorry we processed your small rifle, you’d have to cancel it and hope to get them again, but they’re out of stock so not likely”
Lady I don’t want to cancel them I want to add large rifle to my small rifle order, not rocket science, paying an extra $30 for absolutely no reason is crap customer service, especially since she checked to make sure my small hasn’t shipped.

Couldn't agree more.  I've been avoiding them lately for this very reason.  It's ridiculous!

I am not sure bashing them because they wouldn't go find the package that you ordered earlier, to add an item, is probably sealed up complete with Hazmat labels, 'probably' in another location or building, with a pile of other packages, 'probably' repackage in a larger box, with new labels, just so you don't have to pay another Hazmat fee is 'reasonable'.
Just sayin'.

I've always had great service from Midway. Can't imagine how they could possibly do better. Their shipping is amazingly quick. And prices as good or better than others.

Midway tends to have crazy fast processing for shipping.  They can't add to an order because it has already entered their automated processing system.  I suppose that could be considered a drawback compared to other companies that take a couple of days to process orders or use more manual systems.

Midway USA has always had pretty quick service but for some reason they've really taken to price gouging these last couple years.  They've always been higher priced on most stuff which is odd considering they're one of the biggest companies in their industry but these past couple years they seemed to have gotten carried away with themselves on their prices and just about all the other suppliers have better prices, often much better, and the others I've used their service is just as good.  Midway has pizzed a lot of folks off with their price gouging the last couple years.

If their prices are so bad, why do people still buy from them?
Is it because others don't 'actually' have it in stock?
If they sell a lot of goods, then they are also BUYING AT CURRENT RATES.
The easy cure if a person is not happy with a product or price is to NOT BUY IT.
'IF' it is 'actually' a case of 'price gouging', the market should/will correct itself.

there's not enough supply to correct the market. Midway has huge buying power over smaller retailers and often gets stuff before other places.

To your point about them going through stuff more quickly so their prices are more current, well thats just plain false. Everyone is operating at real time. Name a single retailer who gets primers or powder in that have to sit on it for more than 5 min? The answer is exactly zero. Midway, 3rd gen, CTD, etc have the right to charge whatever they want for their products, just like we have the right to NEVER give them a single penny of our money but into the hysteria goes away there will always be people sitting on no inventory that will have to hold their nose and pay up and currently the number of people in that position far out way the supply of components  :twocents:

As Karl said there’s not enough product to correct the pricing, if there was this whole conversation wouldn’t of even happened because I could have just canceled 1 order and added it to my cart on the next order. Someone’s always going to pay right now, Karl and I saw it yesterday. Everyone isn’t paying the same cost. The small guy gets higher pricing than the big guys. Your mom and pop is buying primers for $60 and selling at $90 where midway is getting a bulk (buying power) discount, they’re buying at $40 and selling at $90.

I see nothing wrong with a company selling its products for as much as the customers are willing to pay.

Actually, I called them less than five minutes after my order was placed because more of the same powder came available.  Had to pay two hazmat and shipping fees.  That's far from "Reasonable" customer service IMO.
