My hunting partners son Passed Hunters Ed and asked to to go turkey hunting this year with us. He would really like to set him up for success. Due to scheduling he won’t be able to hunt the youth season. He asked me to put out some feelers if there would be someone with some nuisance birds that they wouldn’t mind letting a kid shoot one.
We are not worried about us. We would be caller and helper only. We have public bird areas but things can get little competitive in the areas we normally hunt. This can add a ton of pressure to a new hunter and we would like to get him hooked without running him ragged.
We normally camp on the Pend Oreille NWR or the NF. Ideally it would be near there. We are coming up a day early so if a meet and greet in person is preferred that can be arranged.
