Newbie Bear Hunter
« on: March 23, 2021, 02:25:34 PM »
Basically, I got myself a wirehaired pointing griffon. Soon, I realized it would be criminal if I didn't take my buddy upland hunting which has been a blast and unintentionally sparked a desire for me to target game beyond birds. Specifically, deer, bear, and elk. I don't know anyone that hunts this game, but would really appreciate pairing up with an experienced hunting to learn the ropes, whether that is me buying you a beer or joining you on a scouting mission that would be awesome. I live in North Bend, in my 30s. Hunting can be intimating to get into all alone!

First, welcome to the forum. I'm no regulation expert by any means but take a look at the booklet; not legal to use dogs to assist in the pursuit of big game.

that's correct. I'm not planning on doing that, I'm just explaining how I got into hunting is all.

Ah, gotchya. Read that the wrong way. Not in the area unfortunately but you've got some amazing areas in your back yard.  Good luck!
