Whitetail hunting
« on: April 02, 2021, 10:11:41 AM »
I purchased a Magnum Research BFR Revolver in 30-30. 7 1/2" barrel with a Ultradot Matchdot Red Dot scope and a nice Triple-K chest holster I've always wanted to hunt Deer with a Pistol. Especially Whitetails. If I can find one anymore. What do do think?   :dunno:

If hunting out of ground blind it could help with noise and close shots significantly sounds fun

It could definitely be done with your set up.  I would personally be in a blind or stand so I knew the shot would be close.  It would also be a great way to take a bear this fall.  Good luck and lets see pics of that BFR.....I have looked at them in the 45/70 for bear but figure my lever action works fine.

I recently got an Encore in .243 Win, and I have a SRH that I just acquired a scope for. (Reminds me to delete ad.)

I have wanted to do this for some time, and this year might be the year, now that we are mostly finished with our new construction.

Exactly- good rattling setup, or at any point if you have a stand or blind along a well-used trail!

Heck yea get after it. I'd wear ear plugs if you're gonna rock it out in a blind with that hand cannon!   :hello:
