Anyone wishing to see what all the hype is about Boykin Spaniels, there will be a some in Monroe July 10 and 11. There will be people from all over the country since this is the very first Boykin Spaniel Society sponsored hunt test this side of, well I think the Mississippi.
The first day is a training seminar and some LBD games, along with raffles, auction, food. The second day is the hunt test. This is a breed specific test, and very much the same as an HRC test.
So if you want to meet the dog that doesn't rock the boat, come on over!

Well, the event went very well with 23 Boykins running in all three classes.
The 8 hour training seminar had 30 participants.
In all we had people from Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Washington and a lions share from California. Some drove 20 hours to come.  We had games and food, auctions and raffles.... And a litter of 4 week old Boykin puppies. One of my dogs got her first pass in novice, and we had our very first West coast pass in open, which is equivelant to finished.
If you were there and we didn't meet, I'm sorry but I was very busy. The weather was great, but HOT!
