Have you shot them yet? What's the price on them? Looks like a good bullet. Let us know what you think.

Cool, Post your results. I'm gonna try a few new loads and see if it's worth the switch too.

I just came back from the range, shooting the 50cal Bighorn I got from a co-worker. I started with the 250gr Precision Rifle's QT bullet over 90gr fffg T7 @ 100 yards was 4" low and 2" to the left with 3 shots about 3" circle and one flier 5" low center.
Moved to the Barnes Spit-Fire T-EZ FB 250gr, same powder and distance, 21/2" high and 1" left, 4 shots touching each other WOW!!!
This was my second time shooting muzzleloader ever!!!! rifle came with a Williams peep sight.

You can get higher velocities without losing accuracy, plus they won't foul your barrel with lead.

Guns are designed to shoot certain projectiles better than others.  My White is designed to shoot long, heavy conicals so that is what I use with it.  Because of that I won't be switching to a jackeded/copper bullet.  If I owned a different gun I would consult the manufacturer to get an idea of what would shoot best out of it and that would be my starting point for working up a good hunting combination.

I recently ordered 100 custom 460 grain bullets from a gentleman up in Alaska.  Total including shipping was $35.75.

The Barnes bullets are amazing out of my gun, touching groups at 100, penetration is 4 times better all weight retention. I have a Black diamond xl, using 90g of triple 7.
