yeah the archery guys mainly just due to possible access issues. If the roads open up though its game on. Gonna be plenty of elk to shoot at. If I had an archery tag I'd have it in an envelope ready to go back to wdfw but it wouldn't hit the mail until the last second

Archery maybe send it back depending on access, but rifle I'd keep the permit and hunt it. The bull in my Avatar came from the Goose Prairie Rifle hunt in 2009 and a landslide across highway 410 almost kept me out of where I wanted to hunt, but the road opened up last minute. Glad I went!

As terrible as this fire is for anyone in its path (my family included), this is the best thing to happen to this area in my lifetime. Its was as unhealthy as a forest could be

I would not be planning on hunting the nile, bethel, or chinook side of bumping for archery  and at this rate probably the white pass side as well

I had the Goos Prairie Muzzy bull tag when the last fire was in there in ‘17. They opened it just in time for my hunt and ek were all over the fresh burn, ended up being a great hunt

I was planning to check 356 on the north/south end since the Nile is currently closed. Well, the closure expanded to most of 356, so now I'm back to square one. Unless miracle happen, I think archery is out. :-(
