Wondering what y’all think this is. Thanks!!

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I think it is  cat. A fisher tail is much more prominent plus I think the gait i wrong.

i kinda agree with that...i've seen a couple fishers in Montana and from what i saw their front shoulders were more pronounced and they had a much shorter gait.  this looks smaller on the front end and larger in the back and a much longer stride...i aint no fisher expert though :dunno: my first thought was cat as well

I don’t think Fishers are supposed to be in Washington. Long and short tailed Weasels, Mink and Otter abound though.
Cuterebra are NOT cute!

Looks house cat to me, especially the way it moves/walks. Too much tail for bobcat, plus a bobcat in that position should show the white spot on the back of each ear.

There are fishers in WA, on the Penninsula, or were some ten years ago.  Game Dept. trapped some in BC and released them.  I never saw one but saw their unmistakeable tracks in snow several times.  Haven't seen any lately.

Fishers have an odd gait when travelling, kind of a quartering sideways lope, like a plane crabbing into the wind.  Any set of four tracks is set off I'd guess 20-30 degrees from the direction of travel.  Very distinctive if you see enough tracks to show the pattern and not just one paw print.

DFW has released fisher in WA. Three year of releases on the Olympic Peninsula, then three years of releases in the South Cascades, then three years of releases in the North Cascades. Right around 350 animals.
Washington State Trappers Association has been a cooperating organization with monitoring. I have caught and released 4. Seen a couple more. Based on my own experience I think they are increasing in number.
