Need Bomb Cyclones Every Year...
« on: October 25, 2021, 02:55:26 PM »
Latest hunting observation from the field...we need a bomb cyclone every year during the middle of deer modern rifle.  The wind and rain (and the poor fella's libido) got this guy up and walking around at 9 am in 460.  3 hours later, he (and his swollen neck) was taking a ride home with me in the minivan...

That's funny.  I get a lot of funny (always friendly) comments from folks when they see the minivan in random hunting places.  Even helped pull a jeep out once with the minivan -- talk about some irony.  I'll snap a pic when I put a bear in there this week or next.

Very nice deer.
I once ran into a kid in the woods who was dragging a buck backwards . He had shot it in the head so the antlers were loose. He thought they would pull out if drug it out by the antlers. He had shot the deer 11:00 am it was now3:00 pm had been dragging in a circle. Totally lost. I helped him drag it out to my truck, gave him a ride to his car.  We stuffed a 4 point blacktail  into a VW Bug. Had to laugh at what people would think when he was driving down the road.
