Eberlestock Packs?
« on: May 06, 2009, 12:51:37 PM »
-- Im looking at the x-1 for the rifle scabbard and i hunt off my mt bike. My question is will the scabbard hit the back tire when im sitting down riding? Im 5'8" and not real tall so the scabbard might be to low and rub the tire. If anybody knows let me know, thanks!

i have the x1 and i will guess that it will not reach down far enough to hit my mt. bike tire. i can try it tonight and let you know, but i am 6'4" so that might make a difference i guess.

Try it and let me know, my other choice is the nimrod where the scabbord goes to the side and wont hit the tire. I like the x-1 better though but if it hits the tire im not getting it.

I don't have a problem with the J-104

Have you checked out the BlacksCreek Canadian?  Just curious as its got a side scabbard and they are super sweet packs as well...  I know though this summer I'm saving for a Blue Widow by Eberlestock!

the scabbard on the eberlestock is off to the side too, as in left of center. it's not on the side of the pack, which may help a short guy with clearance on a bike.
at least the x1 scabbard is.

It is similar on the Just 1 packs, the scabbard is very nice... man I love it!
