Better make a good shot or have good neighbors
Sometimes shooting a yard deer isn’t such a great idea
My  :twocents:

I have 5 acres and not in town and won’t do it
But yea it’s legal for the most part as stated below when in season
Check your specific area in the rule book

Only legal to hunt it if it is in season. WDFW sets seasons dates and bag limits for all game species. Deer are managed by the State, so private or public land doesn't matter, have to obey state hunting laws.

I didn’t even think to tell him that
Thank you
I assumed he was talking about during open archery seasons

Thanks for the info! and i do know the regs but thanks!
My land is neighboring with private lots that do not have houses on them so i feel like i can contact the lot owners and talk to them about hunting next to their land

Very possible if you make friends.  My brother has 5 acres back east and shoots deer during archery season.  He has permission from the owners on each side to track and recover and it works well for him.  One of them hunts as well and invited him to other property he has outside of town so it's been good.
