Test your skill
« on: February 15, 2022, 06:11:28 PM »

So I was down at this creek this past weekend and ran across some sign along the creek bank.
For all of you trappers, what do you think the animal is here doing this kind of work to the blackberries and creek bank?

Thats slimy looking habitat. I'm thinking something of an Inslee species.

Looks like when I am scoping out a spot to cross a creek and slip on my azz and slide down into the water...

But I will go with an otter as well.

No water den underneath, muskrat?  It’s not a beaver trail/slide. I know nothing about nutria, they’re alien species where I come from. So, I dunno.

 :yeah:

Would not have believed it if I had not witnessed first hand at my old place. The wetlands came into my yard and had mountains of Himalayan Blackberry lined all around it. Literally in a few weeks two Beaver mowed them down!
