We did it. We got a new puppy. It is a Golden named Citori. She will be ready to come home on May 25th.

Nice pup.

Question, how do you plan on training it to come and sit.

If you teach it to "Sit" it sits.  Fine.

If you call it "Citori" it hears Cit and sits???

My guess is you'll have to use some other commands to avoid confusion.  Not criticizing you just wondering how you avoid confusing the dog for training purposes.

Great looking pup. Start picking up the items not to be chewed now and you still will not have them all picked up by the time she comes home. :chuckle:

That's a good tip.

I think Goldens are one of the worst chewers.

My other Golden Sadie is four now.  http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x243/jaydore/PC270062.jpg

By the time she was done chewing I had to buy the wife some new furniture.

I found frozen rags to really help with that stage.

We went and got her today. Man what a handful. I haven't seen the wife and kids full of this much joy in a very long time.

Fine looking pup! I like the darker coloring...

No, you are wrong. There is no issue. She comes to her name and "sits" on command.

Her name is "Citori" (Si'tori') not (SIT'ori')

It is a legitimate queston or concern, but it's not an issue with this dog.

My other Golden does not sudden sit when I say Citori either.

I also have to say that there is a world of difference between "Field Goldens" and "Show Goldens." For hunting, defiantly look for a dog that has "Field Golden" genetics in their pedigree.
