Turkey Guides
« on: March 23, 2022, 01:58:54 PM »
Hey HuntWA

Looking to take a buddy out Turkey hunting this year- we only have about 2 days to hunt and I'm thinking of taking a look at somethings guided. I'm also fairly new to turkey hunting so I've never been on a guided hunt in WA. Looking at Bearpaw outfitter right now. Anybody ever hunt with them? I see they offer guided, guaranteed and unguided- which do you guys recommend? Or are the other outfitters I should consider?

If you know of any good Turkey areas and don't mind sharing my pm is always open, but I understand that people don't like to share locations so ignore this if you'd like to :)

I'd check out the dude that guides on the Klickitat River. Awesome area and a very tough hunt without a boat, which is how they access most of the area. Last name of Zoller.

Zoller is usually booked full way in advance but couldn't hurt to contact him. He knows turkeys real well

Bearpaw owns this site.

My buddy hunted with him out of Colvile twice , three birds total.
He told me it was a great time.

Dale and his crew at Bearpaw outfitters will put you on birds.  Great outfit and great family.  As stated...he is the owner of this site, send him a PM or phone call and I'm sure he will be happy to answer any questions.

@bearpaw

Thanks!

I can still fit in a hunter here and there, he is welcome to message or call or text anytime, if you miss me try again later or call the next day, I'm not always in cell service.

We had a record season last year, the most birds we've ever taken, I don't think anyone else even comes close to the numbers of birds we get, we normally get multiple birds each day we hunt. There were large flocks on the properties we hunt going into the winter, and I don't think we had any significant winter loss, we will know more for sure before the end of this month.

The birds have been talking good in the mornings for nearly a month now, toms are busy courting the hens, I'm expecting another great season.
