Hydrodipped Stock
« on: May 23, 2022, 07:56:08 PM »
Anyone ever had a stock hydrodipped? Thinking about getting a T3x stock dipped. Or coated some other way. Any recommendations on a company?

Their pricing seems reasonable for a stock. I need to get a scope mounted anyways so it seems like I could drop it off and have it all done at one place. Love that.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I've had a few hydrodipped. Wasn't really impressed. If you find a REALLY GOOD shop, then yeah, probably better.

The alternative would be to just go up with the Superlite. Still get the stainless barrel but it's fluted. And the stock is already wrapped.

I wonder if you get cash back through Active Junky with Cabelas on gun purchases...10% cash back would be nice on an $800 gun.

Anyone ever "painted" their own? I'm thinking the kind of textured, grippy, dripped lines that are on things like the Christensen Mesa. Google didn't really help when I tried to look it up. What's that called? Figure I might be able to spruce up a bare black stock with something like that

It's pretty easy . Both Rustolium and Krylon have a Webbing paint . Google " Webbing or Splatter painted stocks " and you should find what you want .
As far as Hydroprint I had NWHydroprint ( through Carp when he was offering it ) do a stock for me and 3 for a buddy . Mines going on at least 10 years and still not showing any signs of wear . Buddies are a couple years old know and still look great .

I’ve painted many stocks.  Started a thread on it here
