Shooting on DNR
« on: July 06, 2022, 12:19:56 PM »
It's OK to walk onto gated DNR to shoot at a target to sight in a muzzy, right? Of course assuming that it's done safely and there isn't any additional signs posted about no shooting for some reason. Thanks in advance for confirming this or setting me straight.

Thanks. This is what I also saw. For some reason I thought at one point I saw that target shooting was not allowed. Maybe it was during a burn ban or some other one off. Thanks again.

Yep probably during the burn ban. Or if it’s like some of the places I’ve always shot they closed it down because they decided to build a bike trail right through where we always target practice. Now target shooting in that area is not allowed along with camping or anything else that took place before the granola crunching bike riders came along and took it over. Sure glad it’s open to all user groups…. Until it’s not. After that Covid crap where they shut it down I really have changed up my normal Hunting places. Trying to stick to private property or forest service so our joke of a governor doesn’t decide To shut my hunting spots down for no reason at all
