lake roosevelte walleye

going to be at lake roosevelte second weekend in june fishing and hopefully catching some walleyes mainly a steelheader and new to walleye any suggestions as far as setups that seem to work in june there thanks

i believe just above the dam but honestly not sure i am going with some friends and have not really talked much about it besides lake roosevelt we usally camp at the spring canyon area though

My favorite way is using jigs. You can also use bottoms walkers with a spinner of some kind behind them or crankbaits/Rapala's. Good luck they should be biting good then.

I'd still be trying to find flats from 10 - 40 feet and feel out where there hanging and then really work that depth.  I like a bottom walker with a double whammey in orange, yellow, or chartreuse. Then put a big crawler on the end of the double whammey.  Drift along the flats or motor mouch real slow. Good luck and have fun.

Later on try to find points coming out, ledges, the edge of weed beds and other good ambush points for a predatory wolf to ambush its prey.  Thats where they will be.  Oh, also the 200 other places I forgot to mention.

I was over there a month ago in Swahalla Basin ane the lake was way up. Hopefully they dropped the level some!!

They did drop they water way down but now there bringing it up about a foot a day or so.They didn't drop it as much as normal for some reason.

phantom gobbler our boat will be the boat to beat should be a good time over there i usually dont have much of a problem catching steelhead but when it comes to walleyes i tend to stink hopefully will catch the big fish of the weekend anyways
