Any Scentologists on here?
« on: September 15, 2022, 09:52:51 AM »
I was spike hunting last weekend.  I'd been in the woods for a few days with a tore out crotch in my pants and holes in my knees.  Buddy of mine and I heard 3 bulls bugling the night before high on a ridge so we got up there early (3:30 pm?) to wait and listen and see if we could find a spike hanging with them.  I walked up and found a stump to sit on for about 20 min until I couldn't take the ants anymore.  I moved 30 yards to rinse and repeat issue with ants before I found my final location close by.

My buddy who was just over the ridge came back to me and we came up with a game plan but before we broke the huddle I spot a elk coming in.  This average 6 pt bull walks thru the thick and is coming right for us.  He is sniffing the ground and following my approach in.  Where I found myself stunned was when he walked up to first stump I sat on and began licking it!  He spent several min within 7-13 yards of us while I recorded with my phone.

This has got me thinking that I must have the goods!  Somewhere in my salty "deez-nuts" scent I have the ability to produce something special/sought after and I'm looking for a way to possibly market said goods.

If anyone knows the best way to help me start this business venture or pointers in the collection or said product, I'm all ears  :chuckle:

I would say to put a sponge down your pants while you are walking around. At the end of the days hunt take it out and cut it up into 1/2" cubes and quickly seal it into small sealed bags and then sell said bags. :chuckle:

Well last night I heard some bugling out by the raspberry patch so I went out for a late night spot-lighting hunt and harvested the mother-load for my 16 grandkids!!!!!!!  They were all bugling right were I had been sitting naked after a soak in the hot-tub!!!  Maybe you are on to something!!!  Problem is that I’m getting warts in unwanted areas!!!!!  Anyone out there have any ideas for a remedy to my problem???🤪

I suspect the scent has more to do with your bowels then your junk. A couple of days in the bush and who knows what is hanging back there....had you been eating salty corn chips, corn on the cob or apples?

I moved to Missouri in '86 and began hunting the next year.  Day 1, rifle deer, whitetail, hump it out a mile, O-dark thirty, set up my climber. 20 minutes before shooting hours, I get the gurgle and it wasn't going away.  Sprayed a deuce off my tree stand.  25 minutes later, I kill a nice 9 pointer.

A buddy of mine back in WI had some wicked BO to him, I mean he just smelled bad.  He was the luckiest deer hunter I have ever hunted with.

Never thought of bottling satchel stench.
