Man!!! He’s teasing you. I just got into the blind. Hoping to get that 3pt ⬆️   But of course the weather had to get all nice for the weekend🤦🏻‍♂️

I’m not a black tail hunter😂. I go East for mulies and whitetails. Hopefully you can find one though!

Just got to Whidbey Island for the closing weekend. Checked my cameras and caught this 3pt. I have a lot of deer on camera, but they’re still nocturnal. This is the only deer that’s even remotely close to shooting time. I’m going to hunt this spot all weekend in hopes of him making a mistake. Going to try calling with grunts, doe in estrus bleat, and fawn bawl. Any blacktail experts on here that have calling advice to pull this guy away from his bed if he’s nearby?

Mulie, he won't be in his bed.  In fact, that is part of the problem.  He will be cruising.  The rut is definitely on in the Puget Sound.  He will be looking for love.  Grunts: Yes.  Doe bleat: Yes.  Rattle: Yes.  (Just not all at once.). Now is not the time to go to his home, he ain't home.

Tomorrow and Monday some giants are going to fall during the crappy weather. Hopefully my Daughter will connect with one.

Good luck today everyone! Watch out for falling trees and branches. We got a predictable wind direction!

We backed out for a bit. We had 50+ mph gusts and a couple of monster firs blow down near us. Didn’t see a single deer.

We saw 7 deer in vail today. 5 does 1 spike 1 2x. Every deer was alone except 3 does in the road. Very windy all day.

Plus 3 does all alone in the corner of my field as we returned home.

I saw one forky tonight at last light. He didn’t seems to be rutting or chasing. He was sneaking through the woods. I was expecting more reckless behavior for the end of October.
