We took the boys out to Fish Lake last weekend and there is 7-8" of ice and the perch were hammering the jigs right before dark.

Heading to Curlew tomorrow. I hope we have decent ice conditions. We usually do very well fishing there, but it seems to be mixed reports from there this year. Seems everything iced up early and hard this year, then with it warming up has made things a bit sketchy in a lot of places. Plan on a Moses Lake trip next month, but who knows if that will even be possible by then. Ill report back with status at Curlew.

Curlew had 9 inches yesterday out from the state park.

tungsten white glo jig tipped with 3-4 white maggots, refresh the glo every fish.   Drop fast to get past trout fingerlings

Bite starts at 2pm to low light

Good luck!

Finally dusted off the ice fishing gear and went out and braved Williams lake. Was a little slow but still enjoyable.

Had to build a Smitty for easier pulling with my legs. What a night and day difference. Love it.

I went approximately 2ish inches wider than the width of the sled, each side. I was on the fence with going wider to fit my shelter on one side and auger on the other and all other stuff in the sled itself… but I didn’t. I think I’m going to add a type of a shelf type thingy off the back you can set more crap on it and also sit on it for fishing if you want.

Put in a long day on Curlew, between 2 of us put almost100 perch on the ice.  Coulda easily hit the hundo but we weren't counting until time to pack up  :chuckle:

and that was a lot of trying to keep the little ones off the hook using a camera to select which perch I wanted.  Lot's of fun

Okay, I’m sure you’re sick of answering this question but… how thick was the ice  . I’m going to the meet and greet this weekend so I may as well fish it too.

Thinking about hitting fish lake this weekend with my daughter. been a great ice season for me so far with a new PB Lake Trout and Yellow Perch from Idaho. Had a few great days out on Bonaparte and curlew this season as well.
