That’s pretty cool!
Does he still ride in your 4wheeler rack?   :chuckle:

Yes.
No quads this trip though. Maybe in a few weeks

Very cool. I’ve read about them a bit but please, provide some more info sir. What can these critters carry for weight?

Depends on goat. 25-30% of body weight from what I read. 165-200+ is goat size.
I got mine from a dairy farmer, so they are not “pack” goat line. I’m not a crazy hiker, got them to help dad out and give daughters something to raise and give them entertainment while we are out.

Everywhere I went he went
Didn’t use leash once, was fun
Next year he will be useful

should be 3 yrs old before any weight in packs and 4 when you can load them

Lots of sign and berries
Heard a bugle
No bears yesterday but the goats did fine
Think there was some “establishing pecking order” sparring. We all loved to come home though

I had no idea this was a thing. the wife and I have already been talking about getting a goat or two. is there a specific type you get? what is their temperment like? the only goats ive known were like wary dogs, once they warmed up to you they wouldn't leave you alone.
