still carrying antlers in spokane
« on: February 27, 2023, 09:58:39 AM »
suspicion of a cat in the area of my treestand so i hung my cameras back up, no cat pictures which i am happy about but small buck and mature 5 point still packing both sides, i was wondering why i had struck out on finding any sheds yet. I guess i assumed they would have dropped by now

Many deer have in my area but there are still some packing.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Last week on our property near Wilbur, I saw 2 Mulie bucks with no antlers, and 1 Whitetail buck still sporting both sides.

Gary
One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

multiple bucks down in town around my house still packing but just little dinks. They tend to hang on to them the longest anyway
