Coon hunting
« on: February 27, 2023, 10:48:02 AM »
Hey all. My boys were gifted a very high end Walker coonhound from a gentleman that has dedicated his life to breeding them and hunting them. Are there any others in SW Washington that are active coon hunters and can help give us some input and pointers? We are not new to hunting but new to this style of hunting. Thanks in advance.

Head down around Vancouver lake.  Very accessible lots of coons and room for your dog to run.  That's where I would start

Raccoon season is from September thru March in Washington state.  FYI
I provide a service to cattle ranchers year around that have problem coyotes.  I also provide guided night hunts year around. I sell Night Vision and Thermal optics. The scopes I use are the NVision Halo XRF and Pulsar Merger XL50 LRF HD Binoculars

Contact Double U supply in Battle ground. They will hook you up with a good collar and likely point you in the right direction.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
