Changing my tune after chasing wetside turkeys. Ticks suck! Had to dust off the permethrin today and switch to solid color pants.

Born and raised here in the wetside and in almost 70 years I've never seen a tick. I've heard we have them, though. All of my ticks come from the basin or Yakima Canyon. Beda Lake is my No. 1 worst tick experience.

Brushed three more off my treated pants today. Never had a Washington tick until this year. Spot specific maybe but they're really giving to me!

Went turkey hunting couple weekends ago, crawling around on the ground, going through brush and neither my son in law or I got a single tick.  Now we did spray all our hunting clothes and packs with permithrin, that had to be the reason.  I went out yesterday afternoon around my house for a couple hours antler hunting, had no permitherin sprayed clothes on, and had two ticks on me when I got home.

Where did you get ticks in your yard? Eastside or west side?

Getting hammered by the ticks north of Spokane. Even through the permethrin treated clothes. Had 6-7 between three of us yesterday.

Forgot to say, we also pulled a tick off our dog this weekend camping at buck creek, western Wa. And she has the tick, flea dip on her! Pulled three ticks off her since we’ve put that potion on her, and it’s not cheap.
