Turkey help, Dayton
« on: May 02, 2023, 07:58:22 AM »
My Boss’s son needs a rio for the Washington slam, I thought I had him all lined up on some private property outside Dayton, the hunt was lined up and everything so I thought, my boss reserved a room and everything, well the property completely fell through and not panning out  >:( long shot but was wondering if anybody had any tips or point my bosses son in the right direction for a bird. 🙏

There is all kinds of good public land and feel free to hunt areas that hold birds in that area. Consult OnX or the WDFW Hunt planner for access maps.

Don’t bail, almost everyone finds them a nuisance. Worst case start to knocking on those doors.

90% chance of rain for the SE part of the state this Friday. Does this affect turkey behavior?

Yes, they will stay in the roost longer, and won't be a vocal in my experience.  But they will still do turkey things.
