Congrats on the draw! My buddy drew the same tag (he's not on the forum) so I'll try to send you any helpful info that comes our way. Good luck this fall, it should be an awesome hunt!

I also drew a 49 degrees north, 65 and older antlerless permit. Was wondering if anybody knows what the cow to bull ratio is in this unit. I feel very blessed to have drawn this tag. Would anybody be able to let me know what part of the unit is best for hunting a cow moose, or what to expect.  Thanks
Oh, the season runs from October 1st to November 31

My advice is to not hunt too late, moose will often shed in late November.

I killed my moose at the very end of October and they were still rutting, fresh scrapes, there were 3/4 bulls and about a 7/8 cows all together when I shot mine. So hunt when the season opens up and you might get a little rut action.

I'd plan for a week early in the hunt and one in the middle.  Really think about what kind of a bull you want to kill, if you want a big bull then be patient its only a matter of time before you should run into one.  Be patient, its not a general deer tag where you should feel like you need to shoot the first legal buck you see.

Enjoy the scouting and hunt up until when you pull the trigger, then it becomes ALOT of work.  Then have buddies around to help.
