Plenty of people have been taken by him unfortunately. Used to be a sponsor at Rokslide and they dropped him for his shady practices.

I almost always check Reddit for reviews for products because it's such a huge and diverse site. And they hate scammers as much as the next guy and will out them. Google is your friend too, individual site's search functions can suck. Here's how to get it to search a specific website for a query. Bold always remains the same, italics are specific to your search.

site:website.com keyword(s)

Or in this case:

site:reddit.com luxe scam

Thanks for the manufacturer update FM.  I’ve been watching this thread with sad interest. He was an advertising sponsor on my forum for a handful of years and was one of my favorite sponsors. At some point, a few years ago it seems, he broke contact with me.  I don’t know what happened with our NW Luxe dealer but for those interested in the Luxe Outdoor products, they’re pretty damn decent at the price point. Look to a different distributor for future orders, obviously.

they stiffed me on a ground cover/ tent footprint.  its been well over a year. they also lied about the weight of their tents. I called them out on it when I received mine and weighed it.  he updated his website after I called him out.

Did he change his company name to 3 rivers gear company? I just typed luxe tents and that popped up. If anyone has money to waste and throw away go ahead and deal with that dirtbag

No 3 ridge's is another dealer.
Luxe hiking is not luxe outdoors.
Luxe hiking is the scammer. Luxe outdoors has cancelled him.

I rechecked,  correct 3 ridges not 3 rivers. Is this the same guy running a different name? Website is essentially the same.

No, 3 ridges is the new north american distributor for luxe.
I ordered a tent from them last month. It showed up in 2 days and looked great.

This new one is in Virginia. There’s a popular hiking area there called 3 ridges so that probably where the name comes from. The subject of this bread is in Forks.

So is the dirt bag the guy in Forks?

I have been waiting on a center pole for over a year from them.  I have tried many ways to get refunded and they are either super creative or just liars.

Any of you Forks boys know where this guy is in Forks?  Would love to stop by and visit.

Haven’t seen that guy where he originally set up shop for I don’t know how long. He was not a local but I believe his wife or girlfriend worked for the park service when he set up shop. Not even sure they are still around 🤷‍♂️

Huh…

Well I’m only out $40 but I sure hate getting taken.  I got everything I ordered but the center pole.  The tent works pretty good for moto camping.

He seemed pretty legit & a straight shooter when I stopped in his little retail store & talked to him at the start. He told me he was hoping to offer a budget friendly alternative to the hunting crowd even though he’s more of a backcountry hiker himself.🤷‍♂️ Not sure what happened but that’s unfortunate he’s screwing people over.
