Puyallup River

Busiest Opening Day I've ever seen on the Puyallup.
The fish are in.  Lots of pinks and some Kings mixed in.  Even saw a few silvers today.

Looks exactly the same as it did about 20 years ago when I fished there a few times.  Definitely crowded, but for the most part, I didn't see many issues and most people seemed to get along.  Was actually pretty entertaining and caught fish, but at the same time...I haven't been back since.

It’s a great spot to floss fish as long as everyone gets along. It just takes one guy to heat things up down there

  Always amazes me that any fish are fair hooked in the Puyallup.  All of the silt runoff in the water makes the visibility about 2-inches.

Same for me as its been awhile since I've battled the crowds and fished the Puyallup.  How was the bite today?  I'm thinking about taking my kids down there tomorrow to see if they can hook into a humpy or two.

Legally fair hooked , but far from feeling the bite fair hooked. Hard pass for sure!
