I bought yet another bow today
« on: June 06, 2009, 10:42:58 PM »
Well I have been promising my ten year old daughter a bow for a while and today I made good on that promise.  I picked up a Diamond Nuclear Ice compound bow.  Here is a link to the bow.

http://www.diamondarchery.com/bow_nuclearice.php

She was totally excited and we went out to the range this evening and in no time she was shooting a tight group at twenty yards.  I also have to add a big thank you to the folks, specifically Chaz, at the Federal Way Wholesale Sports.  I had planned on buying the bow there but they did not have any so I went elsewhere.  Well the elsewhere that I bought the bow at didn't really set the bow up.  By the time I got home I realized my daughter couldn't even see the pins with the peep that was attached.  I was less than thrilled with the service but I won't go into that in this post.

So off to Wholesale Sports I went and in no time they took the time to properly fit my daughter, added a D loop, and changed the peep to one that would actually work on the bow.  I bought a half dozen more arrows there and they cut them down real quick and had her shooting great in no time.  I went in clearly expecting to pay labor costs to set the bow up and they did not charge me a dime, not even a charge for the D loop and the peep.  I was so impressed that I tipped the tech twenty bucks for his time.  My daughter also thought it was really cool that all the techs were drooling over her bow since it was the first time they had seen it and all thought it was pretty neat.   Now both my daughters have bows and soon I will be buying one for the wife.

That's WHOLESALE SPORTS :bash: :chuckle:  Chaz mentioned that when your daughter hit that bullseye her face was really beaming.  We really like working with the kids, so they always get our best work.   we also understand that we don't have any product that's any different from anybody else.  What we do have that some others don't is great customer service.

We rarely charge for labor, and we don't usually give that stuff away, but again the kids get our best. :IBCOOL:

Hey Old Dog, I want to thank you and your staff again and sorry for screwing up the name.    :o I guess I am still getting used to that.  I'll change it in the OP.  I'll definitely be bringing my wife in about a month to get sized up for possibly a Diamond Razors Edge.
