Sounds like a first-class case of steamrolling.

Something tells me they planned this in reaction to the pro-hunter input during the October meeting.

Despicable.
Charlie Kirk didn't speak hate, they hated what he said. Don't get it twisted.

Yeah I dont think I heard a single animal rights activist who wasnt reading off a prewritten script. Theyre all likely written by the legal teams of HSUS and the rest and plugged into chat GPT to make them sound slightly different. That might be giving them more credit than they deserve. Props to Doug Boze and many others for being well spoken and getting early enough in the cue to give us some sort of representation.

The one caller who pointed out to the commission that these groups who oppose bear and cougar hunting are simply there because it provides fodder for their fund raising was spot on.  I think it was the same caller who questioned why don't these same groups/lobbyists/lawyers spend the same amount of time improving habitat or acquiring lands?  Does anyone know the volume of lands acquired by PETA or similar organizations which are used for improvement or held in preservation for their agenda?  (I know the answer and it is somewhere around 0, right?)
Introduce someone new to hunting this year.

I was not able to listen in, did we at least get a decent representation after a while? Or, was it heavily anti?

Heavy anti they must have known exactly when to sign up to stack the deck. I didn't keep score but it felt like 25-5.

They cut out the majority of the public speakers without an opportunity to speak

Lorna Smith is going to point to the ratio of public comments in favor to justify a bad vote. Just like last time.
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.

Considering who put forth the petition this is not surprising at all. I’m sure since it’s “their petition” they got priority. Prob doesn’t hurt that various commissioners are or were members of this groups at one point.

Yup
I don't trust them, their methods or their motives.
Everything is stacked against hunters.
Wouldn't surprise me if they had a spreadsheet somewhere listing pro hunter's from last meetings, emails etc

A quick cross check would allow them to skip those voices
They aren't playing by the rules....well technically they are making their own rules...

Guess we'll see how this plays out. Not optimistic.

Talking about mackinaw in deer lake and how they are a trophy fish. Funny how trophy fishing is okay but trophy hunting is bad.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

And then they approve the deer lake rule changes to year round fishing because that is what WDFW suggests.

So if WDFW says increase fishing to year round because there is plenty of fish noting that they are making assumptions and don’t have in depth studies but good guesstimates.

Yep, we trust your guesstimates, we approve increasing to year round.

What? You say there are plenty of cougars and bears?

You’re wrong let’s ban that until we can get better info.

Spring bear shot down again

But now WDFW is making a great case on the bear cougar petition. Hopefully this works.
