Hunting on the snohomish
« on: December 29, 2023, 09:38:49 AM »
I keep seeing duck boats launching in Snohomish and was curious where people hunt on that river system?

If you get the boat out and go for a drive, you may be able to answer your own question.  Many only hunt it when it gets really cold.
Cut em!

The upper river from snoqualmie to the confluene with the skykomish mostly holds mergansers and goldeneye if there is sheetwater anywhere in the valley, which is true for most of the season. But if that's what youre after, theres limits to be had. With the big freeze, I imagine more puddle ducks are tucking into little oxbow lakes here and there.

Further down river where it starts to slough out, theres lots of hunting to be had. Basically the last 10 miles from ebey island to the bay.
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.
