I was up in there last Thursday and friday. I saw 12 bulls in two days, but 8 of them were spikes.  :dunno:. Out of the other four, two of them were already nice bulls. I also saw a spike deer up by Ravens roost. Teacherman, what kinda salt lick would you say works best?

Selenium or trace, they both are good...

Don't know but if you are wanting to see many elk get in there early or plan on staying late, we didn't see much during the day beside great scenery. Good luck and post some pics.

well, i got a late start. i was going to get some field time by myslef, but i felt bad about leaving this little guy at home so the whole family went....

we saw some cows finally at about 3pm which my wife actually glassed...

this one was probably over 1000yds, and there was a spike that was being shy coming in and out of the timber line that i didnt get a pic of...

if you look close there is a calf on the left with spots still, and momma to the right

even though we only saw like 10 elk cows and one spike you were right, the scenery was sweet

I can't believe it, I got drawn for Peaches Ridge archery!!! The crazy thing is I got drawn last year for a modern big bull tag so I came into this season with only 1 point, was not expecting anything. I cant wait to get over and start scouting the area, I have gotten a couple smaller bulls out of that unit in the past and the only problem I can see now is that it is 3 months away and its going to kill me to wait.  :chuckle: Hope some other people had great success also.
Yes! After 6 years of trying. My buddy and I got the tag and are still trying to figure out where to go. I know the area fairly well off the 410 side, but we are considering coming in the I-90 side through the 336. We are going for the full early season minus Monday the 20th. Should be a bugling freanzy I hope. I had this tag in 98 and ended up with nothing, not to say that they were not there.                 What are your thoughts?   I know Im not going any where near crow creek after a long weekend of a wheelin freanzy!

Hello fellow archery hunters,  This is my fourth time getting drawn for peaches ridge. Three archery and one muzzle load. So far I've gotten a 5x5 with my bow and a 6x6 with my muzzle loader and One year I got skunked. I had seven points this year and got drawn. I've done one day of scouting this year and I've seen a 2x2 and two spikes. Lot's of cows and calves.  I'll be camping along Quartz Mt. road if anyone needs help packing one out. My name is Jim.

Hoping to check some of my little areas this weekend for some friends  ;) and my father in law. I'll try to get some pic's and post when I get home. The Huntwa members that have this tag should maybe put a pie plate with huntwa on it when you all are over there hunting, might be a great way to share a campfire.
Shut up and Hunt!
