September Bear
« on: April 04, 2024, 11:01:07 AM »
I shot this bear the year I had the eastern elk raffle tag. It was warm and the hair slipped after tanning in spots so a rug was out of the question. I decided to go with a pack mount.

Damn nice!  A mount that tells a story, really like what you did.

That turned out amazing! I think I prefer that mount to a traditional rug. Hope you don't mind if I mimic that when/if I get a bear  :)

Looks good!!
I’ve got a lion at the taxidermist that I’m also doing a trappers mount on. Did your taxidermist supply the old school packboard or did you buy one of the replica ones online?
