Has anyone used the C.A.T. method to to dry brass after a wet tumble?

We have a new Amish made solid wood dining room table we bought a few months ago that was, IMO, silly expensive but as they say "happy wife happy life" so I went along with the purchase, AND, because I never like to mis an opportunity to mess with my wife I showed her that pic and as serious as I could be told her that's how I was going to start drying brass.  This is a family friendly site so I can't really type the words she used but it's safe to say she made it crystal clear non of that would be happening on her new table.  When she realized I was just messing with her she un-politely told me I wasn't funny.

I'm not a cat lover, so I will not be using that method anytime soon. 

Seriously though.....you need to go buy a couple cheap food dehydrators, they work awesome to dry brass.  Way faster than air drying.

I think I paid less than this at bi-mart, but same unit.  They last forever and work great.  I have two that are only used for brass.

Interestingly,  that table the cat is on is allegedly over 200 years old.  Bought it from a lady who said it was an heirloom that her family hauled west from PA or someplace similar.  Probably Amish built.

My wife is currently out on travel so my brass drying process (San cat) is currently all over the house!

Yeah- that is good advise.   If I feel an urgent need to dry fast I have used the oven on the lowest setting with some success.

My prefered method is laying them on a white sheet in the sun.  That goes super fast.

Right now the wife is away so I have free reign over all the flat surfaces!

Hair dryer works best for me, I doubt that I will be trying the CAT method anytime soon.
