Vortex quick release
« on: June 20, 2024, 02:00:55 PM »
I bought a vortex spotter with vortex tripod.  Tripod has a quick release receiver on the top and came with an attachment for the bottom of the scope so you can clip it on and off.  My issue is my windo mount has the typical screw to the bottom of the scope so if I switch from tripod to window mount I have to remove the attached plate.  Is there a seperate receiver I can buy to screw into the window mount so I can just switch it back and forth?

Are you looking for an additional quick attach plate?
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Their stuff is a little on the pricey side, but Outdoorsman’s has adaptor plates. These can be used to make all your tripod heads and base plates interchangeable. I have a couple different tripods and a window mount. All my optics, my camera, and all the tripods are the same and it sure makes it nice not having to swap base plates all the time!

Thank you all for the information I truly appreciate it.  I ended up messaging vortex and they are hooking me up so I am all matching.

I swapped everything out with Arca Swiss plates. So nice and easy and my bino adapter was $9 off Amazon. Arca is definitely the way to go and sorry in advance but buying the adapters cheap off Amazon is supporting evil but who wants to pay 10x the cost for the same part without the brand name.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short.

Amen
