Ray,
You might enjoy the Washington Selfbow Jamboree next month in Packwood.

I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. Ray,
Very nice looking bow, wishing you the best of luck this hunting season with it. Nothing better to harvest a critter with something you made.

Nice Ray, really nice glue lines... Looks like you could have got her bending a little closer to the handle... you'd have ended up losing some weight though....
You are getting this chit down!!!

Ernie, Correct. More bending near the center. I agree. Too busy for any more bows right now. Will try again later this year (winter). Possibly an English Style Longbow. We'll see.

Yeah this bow is ready. I have shot it a bunch and put a new string on it two nights ago. It's measured up to 54 lbs at 28 inches.
I am going elk hunting for about 3 days (two times) in September and will be utilizing this bow. That is if I see a legal elk. I have had good luck spotting a couple of bulls just two weeks ago and hope they stick in the same general area. We'll see how it goes.
