Got drawn for Alta A..... Can't Wait!!!
« on: June 20, 2009, 09:18:07 AM »
Well can't wait till the snow starts to fly!!! Me and a buddy got drawn this year and I have plenty of vac time built up. I want to hold out for a 170 class or better, or a nontypical!! Come on summer and pass.

Lucky dog...It's a great tag to have. Hopefully the wolves leave you something.. ;)
There's a really good thread on here from Bones hunt last year there, after looking at all his pic's the summer is really going to creep by for you. Good luck.

I drew the late tag for Muzzleloader (Alta B), It is over thanksgiving.  I have hunted the Alta unit before but never after the snow flys.  I hear the late hunts are totally different.  If you get any good advice I would greatly appreciate any help or ideas.  6 days is a very short time.  I hope you drill a huge one.  Good luck

I drew this tag as well  ;) I too have never hunted this late over there, it will be interesting to see how the wolves affect the migration. With 2 of us here drawing this tag that only leaves 18 more tags out there, I'm hoping for a great hunt.

How about a trail cam over that hole.

Thanks for the kind words. Pulled two really nice bucks both over 160 three years ago in the general season and have been putting in for the late permit for awhile now. Hopefully we'll get snow early. Good luck to all this season.

T.K.
Take care and be safe.

Let me know if you are interested in comparing notes during the hunt, my hunting buddy has that tag and I will be spending several days over there with him. :hello:
