Everybody should be in tune with what’s going on in 578 with the Yakima tribe trying to take over the majority of this unit voices need to be heard and or some type of presence.

Yakama is the tribe.  Yakima you're talking about the town.

What about the town yakimas 170 miles away from Glenwood. What’s wrong with the 800,000 acres that tribe already has

They wanted the land the treaty apparently gave them, not less.  Who wouldn’t ?

That dispute was settled and I think $2.1 million was given to the tribe to relinquish all rights to what we refer to as Tract D, which takes in Glenwood, and so they accepted the money, ceded all rights to it.

Not sure where your getting your news from Shooter but this is old news. The supreme court made the ruling it's a done deal. It's already over they have been allowing the state to continue allowing hunting on the land until approx. this coming season

@Shooter4 who are your grandparents?  Wondering because I live here in Trac D.  As decided a couple years back, the Glenwood Valley is within the interior bounderies of the Yakima Nation.  Outside of the decades old water issue, I've seen no changes in hunting or fishing on private or state land unless you count cats, bears, wolfs and hoof rot :)
